There are many ways, large and small, to help the school. Here are a few current needs.

Retain Teachers - Provide Housing

Bishop Comboni College has developed a plan to build more staff housing on campus. There is no longer an option of housing teachers outside the main gate to campus.

The construction of the 15-unit building is a $95,000 project for which BCP is pursuing grant funds, etc. The work will be broken into stages; site and foundation work, individual residential units, etc.

Donating to this urgent need will help BCP and Bishop Comboni begin the first steps. The cost per unit is approximately $6,400; a very cost effective way to retain the teachers.

Please help with any amount. It will be put to work immediately.

This project may also be built as four Four-Unit Buildings.
They would be clustered on the land identified
for the 15-unit building.
The cost of each building would be $25,263.
Each teacher would have a private 35 sq. meter unit.

More Computers and Textbooks are Needed!

The E-Library facility at Bishop Comboni secondary school is open to an enthusiastic group of students! Seating is in place for 157. The 10 Dell MiniTowers are wonderful. They are being utilized for research. The school needs an additional 20 computers for its student body of 610. Textbooks also are in demand and the school needs more. This facility connects a rural school to the world!

The connection can get stronger and better. The computers are about $680 each. The textbooks vary in price. A donation of any size to the fund established to enhance the E-Library will be appreciated. Let's get more computers and textbooks. Please help!!

CHILDREN'S AID FUND

Sometimes a child loses a sponsor, but fees are still due. This fund lets us help the child stay in school until a new sponsor is found.

Many secondary students need financial help not only with school fees, but also with transportation and with personal and school supplies. Some sponsors are able to offer additional funds for this purpose; others cannot. The Children’s Aid Fund enables us to ensure that students have the minimum necessary for personal supplies, school supplies and transportation.
This Fund also helps in the case of unanticipated needs, such as a medical emergency. Fast action is possible when we have a fund ready to provide aid where necessary.
